The Mazer Cup International is a Mead Competition for Meaderies and Enthusiasts (Home Mead Makers). It is not affiliated in any way with the former International Mead Association, or the International Mead Festival.
You will see some familiar names in the list of volunteers who produce and host the event, who were involved in supporting the International Mead Festival. However, the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition is a separate event that consists of two competitions and one public event.
The Mazer Cup International currently hosts 1 public event which is the Winners Circle Public Mead Tasting. As the competition grows and is able to fund more public events we will do so in an organized fashion in order to ensure that the experience is first-class for those who attend.
We have received a number of email, phone calls, facebook requests and other inquiries about tickets to the “Mead Festival,” so we wanted to be clear about who we are and what we do.
